Powerflush in London

We specialise in improving the efficiency of central heating systems with our powerful flushing solutions. Sludge not removed from your heating system can accumulate and cause serious blockages, leading to radiator and heating control valve damage. A power flush will improve the efficiency of your central heating system, help you use less energy and keep you warm at home.

Why Powerflush?

Over time, sludge, limescale and debris can build up and prevent your central heating system from working to its full capacity. It may make noises or heat up too slowly. A power flush removes this system build-up, eradicating sludge, rust and contaminants from the pipes, coils, heat exchangers and radiators, restoring your central heating system to its full capacity.
Increase energy efficiency
Servicing annually will keep your manufacturer warranty up-to-date.
Improve system reliability
Spot wear and tear before they become bigger problems.
Increase your system lifespan
Prevent dangerous CO2 being released into your home due to a faulty boiler.

When do I need a Powerflush?

There are several signs that could help you determine (and indicate) whether your system needs a Powerflush. These include:

  • Radiators requiring constant bleeding
  • Cold spots on your radiators
  • Noisy radiators or a noisy boiler
  • Leaking radiators
  • Central heating system takes a long time to heat up
  • Regular breakdowns and higher maintenance needs
  • The boiler needs to be reset or restarted regularly
  • Radiators struggle, or take longer, to heat up more than others
  • Discoloured water when the radiators are bled

What are the benefits of getting a Powerflush?

There are many benefits that will come with having a Powerflush. As well as the increased energy efficiency, extended lifespan, and reliability mentioned above, you may also notice a better quality of heating and hot water, and reduced noise. Depending on the installation you already have, you may even experience a reduction in your energy bills — this is based on the improved energy efficiency which allows your system to operate at full capacity.

What happens during a Powerflush?

Using a specialised machine, a chemical is circulated through your radiators, pipes and boiler at high pressure. This flushes out any potentially inhibiting deposits, clears blockages and eradicates sludge, rust and contaminants. This will then allow the water in your system to flow freely and restore full capacity.

How long does a Powerflush take?

The length of time needed for a Powerflush is highly dependent on the size of your system and its condition. Usually, however, a Powerflush can take around 8 hours to perform and complete, however on particular or more complicated systems, it could take up to 2 days.

How much does a Powerflush cost?

Prices for a central heating Powerflush can vary depending on the size of your heating system and the complexity of the job. Whilst a Poweflush may seem like a steep expense, there are potential savings to be made given the enhanced system efficiency. It is also worth remembering that a Powerflush can reduce the number of breakdowns you experience. Our rates can be found here
